Who Will It Be??

So I've been watching Project Runway reruns on Bravo, mainly because it's Sunday and uber hot outside! They keep showing previews for this weeks episode, and seriously I cannot wait to see who actually gets kicked off the show!!! I have no idea who it could be, but I so want it to be because of sabotage! I want some punk (probably Keith) to go in after hours and ruin someone else's garment. How awesome would that be. I so don't want it to be something lame-o like someone going in after hours and working on their outfit. Blech! Where is the drama in that?? But unfortunately that is probably what it'll be.

And why is Angela still on the show? I don't get this. She was a horrible partner to the kooky guy, and she made some hideous outfit for her lady and dog outfits (I mean, this woman has no taste - have you seen what she wears... looks like something off of Mary-Kate or Paris) Man, I hope she's the one who does something wrong, cuz I seriously just do not like her.

So, let me hear your thoughts on this....what do you think is going to happen?

MY NEW APARTMENT

So I'm not completely out of my old place yet (I have til Aug 14), but I've been living in my FABULOUS new apartment on the East Side!!! And here are what common areas look like (be prepared to be jealous - I already have had friends drooling over it):

The dining room table looks very midgeted in this space, but hey, it's all we have for now, and it works. A place to have a real meal!!!

And here's my kitchen - FREAKING HUGE!!! There is actually counterspace, and a dishwasher, and a large stove, and an overhead microwave!! LOVE IT!! Great meals will be prepared here (hopefully! My cooking skills is something I hope to improve upon, even though I do a pretty decent job already... need to be a bit more creative and branch out a bit, something that's hard to do since I'm such a picky eater)

And here is the new entertainment center that Jason and his dad and brother built for us (and that's his TV as well - boys like their electronics) I have no idea what to fill half these cubbies with. I'm gonna have to invest in some knickknacky things I guess. But here is where I get to enjoy all those trashy shows I will soon be addicted too (as well as have to watch lots of sports since we have 6 extra sports channels - blech!... good thing there are three more tvs in the house - I did say J likes his electronics!)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

The fabulous RED FURNITURE that is soooo comfortable!! I actually napped on it the other day, and it was wonderful!! Here is where my butt will be watching those trashy shows. Yay for my new apartment!! I'm sooo happy :)

Reruns

So I missed a bunch of shows this week just from not knowing when they were on (ones that I of course got hooked on during the weekend at Ang's thanks to her TiVo) I would like to say though that all those shows were shown in reruns this weekend, so now I'm all caught up :) I got to watch the latest episode of The Hills and Project Runway!! Good thing cable channels play the same things OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, because not only did I watch the ones I missed, I also watched the ones I had seen at Ang's since they were played right before the newest episodes. I'm such a nerd!

Besides TV time, I had Brit and James over to the new apartment and made them lunch before heading over to the pool (up the apartment complex has an outdoor pool) One sidedish that was an instant hit (and took almost no time to prepare) was a tortellini caesar salad. All you do is boil up some cheese tortellini, and toss it in a regular caesar salad. Delicious - I like to make it with the colored tortellini to spice it up a bit. Try it out sometime, it's nummy :)

Still not unpacked....

There are still some boxes around the new apartment that are not unpacked, and I still have stuff at my old place. It is so nice to have a whole month to move out of one place and into another.... the only problem is, the stuff left at the old place = all my clothes (except the dirty ones I washed here) and my food! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love to eat out, but seriously, there's nothing here!

But I'm loving the new place, and when I find the cord to hook my camera up to my computer, I will upload some kickass pics for you guys to see. The red furniture with the yellow wall ROCKS!!! Now all we need is a bigger dining room table - it looks midgeted the way it is :b

What a Weekend!!!

Man this weekend will go down in the record books as one of the randomest/most fun weekends ever!! Darla and I headed (separately) to Green Bay to visit with Ang for a Girl's Weekend. Loads of fun - yet somehow disaster managed to strike! (big surprise with the three of us together :b)

Friday night we did a little shopping the had a Patio Party with a few of Ang's lawyer buds - good times :) There are some great pics (however, my computer is not hooked up due to the move to the new apartment, so they will be posted later) and there was plenty of alcohol consumed.

Saturday was the day of the crazy randomness (and disaster!) (unfortunately Ang has not emailed me the pics of that event yet so you will have to wait) Us girls and Mike decided to go tubing down a river outside of Green Bay (not sure which one it is) and when we got there there was a HUGE line to wait for the bus to trek us down to the start point. It was so hot and gross outside, and we were just standing there under the beating sun. Anyways, good ol' Tina can't handle the heat (and am probably dehydrated from the drinking the night before) and I faint, right there, as we're walking to get on the freaking bus. We were so close to just boarding the bus and taking the two minute drive to the start point. Well, I hear my fall wasn't too graceful and looked more like a I tripped over a tube as I was walking forward.... luckily the tube was there or I think my injuries would've been more severe. As I hear, when I went down, Ang and Darla froze up, and the annoying stupid girl behind us kept screaming "Get her off the tube, it's hot!" like that was what they were most concerned about at the time :b So I finally come to (no one really knows how long I was out, but it was probably a matter of seconds) and I have this lovely gash on my chin and blood dripping down my front. As we were discussing the event, Darla kept looking at the gash and shuddering, while Mike ran off and found me ice bags to stick under my armpits to cool me off. We decided not to go tubing after the incident and got our money back, and then drove home. The whole way home I was reassured that it probably wasn't as bad as it looked and we just needed to clean it up at the house, even though I come to find out that everyone was thinking "Man, this girl really needs to go to the hospital." At the house Ang took a pic so I could see the grossness of the cut, and Darla called her mom to see if I should be taken in. It was concluded that I needed to go to the doctor to have it checked out, and I ended up with EIGHT stitches in my chin. Now mind you, this was the first time I've EVER had to go to the doctor for anything other than a physical or a cold/flu thing. That's it. I've never broken a bone or had any other injuries that required a doctor (unlike the very uncoordinated Angie - you should ask her about her broken ankle sometime :) ) I just can't wait to see what my emergency room bill is going to look like - they hooked me up to a freaking heart monitor to make sure I wasn't going to die or something!!! At least the nurse that checked me in was a cutie - no Derek Shepard, but close :)

So anyways, now I'm walking around with eight stitches in my chin, a skinned up knee, and a bruise on my forehead. And don't worry, I'm totally fine and this is freaking hilarious now that we all know I will be perfectly OK.

We finished off the night with pizza and The Devil Wears Prada, and by the time the movie was done we all couldn't believe the events of the day. It seemed ages ago that I had been at the doctor and everything.

Today we found outfits for the Headbanger's Ball, and I would like to say we are going to look fabulous!!!

Ok - so when I get the pics, I will totally post them of me and my gash, and the stitches. (I will also warn you about them in the heading, so if you get grossed out you'll know not to scroll down)

Now I'm gonna go play with Vienna - she hasn't seen me all weekend and misses me.

TOMORROW I COMPLETELY MOVE INTO MY NEW APARTMENT AND GET MY RED FURNITURE!!! I'll definitely post pics once the place is all settled into.

Hope everyone had a great weekend - and sorry if my story sounds lame - it's so much more hilarious when you have all three of us girls telling it (specially since I don't remember the drama part since I was passed out lying on the ground)

Mixing it Up...

Last night was movie night on the Terrace - CLUELESS :) Great movie that makes me feel like not as big of a ditz as I come off (and a fantastic driver!! :b)

The movie was done relatively early, so we had plenty of time to hang out at Brat's for the Beer Exchange. A lesson I learned is you should never have four different beers in one night. Bleh. This morning my tummy wasn't very happy (luckily I was more tired than hungover!) With most drink specials you end up drinking the same type of drink, but with the Beer Exchange, you're drinking the cheapest beer for that 20 minutes. I started with a Miller Lite, went on to the new New Glarus (it was lighter as well), then had a Spotted Cow, and ended the night with a game of darks and the Capital Island Wheat. What a mixture of beers - mostly lighter, but different enough. I recommend the Spotted Cow, as well as the Island Wheat. The other New Glarus beer was like any other light beer, but it left a weird after-taste, so I would choose one of the other ones instead.

The wide array of beers is definitely an added benefit of living in Madison. There are so many local breweries with different types of beers, and many bars have them on tap. Always fun to try something new. I have yet to go on a brewery tour, but maybe I'll get one of those in before the end of the summer. It seems like it'd be fun, especially if there are free samples :)

Now it's nappy nappy time - five hours of sleep is just not enough for me anymore :-/ When did I get so old??

Totally 80's

I just read that Trivial Pursuit is coming out with a Totally 80's edition of the game. Now I may have been born in the 80's (1983 to be exact) but I was just too young during that decade to retain all sorts of useless knowledge that I managed to retain in the 90's. It'll still be fun to test my knowledge from the decade - I've seen enough of VH1's "I Love the 80's" to possibly get some right.

On a completely different note - I think Friends Season 4 is my favorite season of all time. This is the season that has Phoebe getting pregnant with her brother's children, and where Rachel and Monica lose their apartment to the guys in that nail-biting game!! (All happens in the same episode!!) Plus, this is the season where Ross and Rachel get back together for a total of ONE episode, and Monica gets peed on by Chandler to alleviate that jellyfish sting, with Monica saying she could never date him cuz he would always be the guy that peed on her (only to start dating him in the next season) Man I miss Friends. They have some fantastic episodes.... and watching them makes me just want to bust out the Friends Trivia Game and kick some butt (I remember way too many mundane things, like real names of guest stars - yeah I'm a dork)

Ok - I had a pretty low key weekend, so this isn't an interesting blog - sorry.

COUNTDOWN - FIVE DAYS TIL I'M IN GREEN BAY
COUNTDOWN - SEVEN DAYS TIL I'M MOVING INTO MY NEW APARTMENT!!!

My Sister's Keeper

So I just finished this book, written by Jane Picoult. Wow. My sister bought it for me for Christmas, and I just got around to reading it. I brought it to the Terrace the other day - but was that a mistake! This book was sooo sad and heart-wrenching. My face is a red blotchy mess right now. I totally recommend it, but you might want to read it in private so no one makes fun of you.

The book was beautifully written. I love the way you get everyone's perspectives as the book goes along. It just wouldn't be as moving without hearing everyone's thoughts and seeing what they see. All I can say is WOW!!!

Moving On Up To The East Side

I'm movin' on up, to the east side... to a deluxe apartment in the sky :)

Yup it's official... I signed my lease for next year (which is Aug 1-July 31) What's kickass about this is the rental people are letting us move in ON JULY 15TH RENT FREE!!! (I will be out of town on that day in GB, but when I get home, I'm moving!!) We have a three bedroom, two bath apartment , huge kitchen, pool in the common areas, attached garage. It's going to be a sweet setup and I just cannot wait!!

New furniture that I will be purchasing:

I have been wanting this furniture for like 3 years now, and I finally get to get it. Just as long as when we measure hallways and stairwells and it will fit, I get my Red Durapella Furniture from Ashely Homestore!!!
