DVR

I will finally, FINALLY be getting DVR early next week.... I still have to wait a week, but I mean, I've been waiting since July 15th for this, so I can handle 7 more days. I am so not going to have a life anymore!!

MIKE SUCKS

Ok, so I'm totally kicking butt in fantasy football, and I put this fantastic trade on the table for Mr. D, but for some reason he doesn't accept or deny the trade. What's up with that?!?! Are you unable to make a decision without your wife?? I know she's been sick and not herself, but seriously, you can do this on your own!!

In other news, I went and played bingo today at Potawatomi in Milwaukee.... Dejope no longer has bingo (don't know why, but whatever) J and I took a day trip to Milwaukee, and saw what it was like to play in a big bingo hall. (I'm used to church basements with Ang - and I think I only did that once) There were probably two games that we were quasi close to winning, otherwise it was total domination. I will have to say we still had a lot of fun, except for the fact that it's as smoky there as a hick bar. They now have these computer contraptions where all you do is type in the number, and it colors in the number for you. No dobber involved. I will have to say I can't see it being as much fun without the dobber. People just keep getting lazier :b

Concert #5

On Saturday I went to my FIFTH John Mayer concert - oh man it was soooo much fun!!!! I'm a HUGE fan, ever since my sophomore year of college. Room for Squares was a fantastic album. Heavier Things was more electric, and just as fabulous. I went out and purchased Continuum this afternoon, and I can tell it's going to be a new favorite! I just LOVE John!!

Not only was this our fifth concert (I've gone to all of them with my fabulous friend JDogg), but this was also the farthest away from home. We traveled three looong hours to Tinley Park, IL to catch the concert - along the way stopping in Schaumberg for my first shopping trip to IKEA. First we stopped at the huge mall across from it and grabbed some lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Me in all my naivity, I assumed they only sold cheesecake there. How wrong was I. They had such a selection for lunch - and huge portions. I got the Meatloaf Sandwich (for some reason I saw it on the menu and just craved it) Delicious!!!
I could not, however, bring myself to spend $6 on a slice of cheesecake, so I passed on dessert (plus I was stuffed from the sandwich!)

We got slightly lost going to IKEA, but I blame the set up of the roads. There really is no good way of getting there, and JDogg says she's gotten lost every time she's gone (and she's been there like 5 times!)

As for the concert - John was with Sheryl Crow. I was shocked that John was closing act, but I suppose that makes the most sense since he is the one with the new CD and everything. He did a fantastic job, but did not say much about the Jessica Simpson debacle. He actually didn't engage in a lot of his usual banter, which was sad, but oh well. I am sure he will in his next concert we catch :) Here are some pics:

Hip Hip Horray!!!

One more day then the work week is done - I cannot wait!!! My arms and thighs hurt from working out (hopefully that will subside soon enough, especially if I keep at it), and I have just had so much to do at work that I don't want to do anything afterwards (even though I did stay up late enough to watch Vincent FINALLY get kicked off PR last night!!) I am so tired, that I am almost ready for bed at 9:30 (man am I a lame-o!) But this weekend is going to be a blast. I've been looking forward to it for a month!!

I GET TO GO SEE JOHN MAYER SATURDAY NIGHT!!! YAY!!!!

He's touring with Sheryl Crow, and the latest news on the street is he's NOT dating Jessica Simpson (thank God!) Now, this will be my fifth JM concert :) But I haven't seen him in over a year, so I'm totally going through withdrawls. And to make the weekend even more of an adventure, Jess and I will be trekking down to Tinley Park, and stopping at IKEA along the way - I have never been to IKEA, but I've heard great things, so I'm very excited about that. Hopefully I can find some wall accessories for my yellow wall, cuz even though it's colorful, it's still bare. Can't wait. I'll make sure to take TONS of pictures and post them for you. And if the opening bands are fantastic, I'll let you know. John is actually the one who introduced me to Graham Colton, so hopefully he'll deliver with another fantastic opener.

Off to go watch the Steelers and Dolphins play. I don't really care who wins, just as long as my boys get me lots of fantasy points :)
